Simply Divine
It's that moment your eyes open in the morning & you know you have a delicious five more minutes to languish in bed, before the alarm startles you AWAKE!! Switch it off ahead of its shrieking & CHOOSE a calmer way to start the day.
STOP to take a deep breath, WIGGLE your fingers & toes - all twenty of them, PRACTICE an exercise of awareness, SENSE each muscle, sinew, bone & tendon, WORK your way up from the tips of your toes to the top of your head. THANK your body, FEEL it's energy, RECOGNIZE your self, AWAKEN your mind & FEED your soul. Be SELF- INDULGENT. Do not rush. There will a plenty of rushing to do when you get up.
There is no need to rush now. BE with yourself. INHALE & EXHALE. Be grateful & hopeful. Do nothing, SWITCH OFF & DECOMPRESS.
I wake up to this scene of of the Buddha always medidating. Blissfully, completely, divinely at rest. It's just 5 minutes of your day but it's rocket fuel for your life.
